This man….has been a rock the last few weeks. Wh This man….has been a rock the last few weeks.

When we got back from our cruise last month, we found out his brother was in the hospital.

We didn’t know it then, but 2 weeks later he would pass away. In the meantime, my amazing husband drove me back home from PA, and days later drove right back to Philly to support his mother, sister in law, and their son as they walked his brother into eternity.

He served them all so well, and then kept going. Arrangements, support, rides, organizing, making lists. He did it all.

He wrote and shared a beautiful eulogy and shared the Gospel with all who attended the service. I’ve never been prouder of him.

But what I will be forever grateful for, is that he sought the Lord through it all.

Worship car rides with music blaring.
Finding space to focus on the Scripture God wanted him to share.
Seeking the wisdom of wise men.
Putting the responsibility of representing Christ well ahead of time with his family.
Sharing Christ with others in word and action.

I’ve always been proud of the man he is, but watching him walk out this season with grace and strength that comes from the Lord…I am grateful for a loving God who has empowered him to serve well.

Ian…in the midst of everything happening I wasn’t able to share my appreciation for you in a post on our anniversary, but who I’ve seen you be because of Whose you are in these last weeks…I am more in love and grateful for you than ever.

Lord, thank you for blessing me with @mulvaiw. He’s a good man.
Congratulations to my friends Katie Reid and Cherr Congratulations to my friends Katie Reid and Cherri Bornman on the release of their new devotional for worship leaders!

Katie and Cherri’s hearts to lead people in worship to the Throne Room of Heaven and empower the next generation of worship leaders has helped to grow my faith. And they are the kind of women I trust because of how they walk out their faith.

If you lead worship, this new resource will bless you.
And if you know someone who leads worship, please share this with them!
Reading the Gospels in September changed me forev Reading the Gospels in September changed me forever.

I’m grateful for Hannah Brencher’s encouragement to spend September reading the Gospels, and using the lens of ‘Who is Jesus in this story?’

I am more in awe of Jesus because of this practice and I’ve never written so many notes in my Bible!

Months ago, when God whispered to me,
‘September’,
I wasn’t sure what He would do

But most of what happened this past month,
I never would’ve expected or asked for

I never would’ve expected on Sept 1 how much I would need to ground myself in the words of Jesus over the month

But God did.

Focusing my thoughts on Jesus this past month has grown my faith, and has inspired me to dig deeper into the Bible than ever before

“so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬

I am grateful for a month of growing closer to Jesus. I am changed forever for the better

I would love for you to grow in your faith by reading the Gospels in October.

It’s simple…just read one Gospel each week.
No plan, and your only goal is to grown closer to Jesus as you focus on reading about His life.

If you’re in, send me a DM and let me know so I can be praying for you!

@hannahbrencher Thank you for your simple, but life changing call to spend September in the Gospels!
Our family is in the middle of a loss none of us s Our family is in the middle of a loss none of us saw coming, and as we make plans and learn to cope with this shock and heartache, I’m finding ways to keep my mind set on the Lord and allow Him to direct me, my thoughts and my actions. Letting Him fill me so that I can pour out to my extended family as we all find our way through this difficult season.

Finding joy might be difficult right now, but I am intentionally finding ways to find comfort and peace in the midst of the middle of difficult season that looks nothing like my ordinary days.

I’m grateful for the many ways God is ministering to me and my family and for the blessings upon blessings I have experienced Him pouring out on us.

Faithful He has been, and faithful He will be.

*my immediate family is ok…in case you were concerned.

I highly recommend going on an adventure with your I highly recommend going on an adventure with your kid.

We laughed, we ate, we had so much fun enjoying our city.

I enjoyed hearing about so many places he’s worked in the city and having him show me around places I hadn’t been before.

After years of being the tour guide and adventure planner, it’s fun to be on the receiving end!!

And visiting one of our favorites that we’ve been to time and time again since he was little was a fun treat too!

8 years of cancer free. God is faithful! I snapp 8 years of cancer free.
God is faithful!

I snapped this pic quickly while I was walking (to the car after eating ice cream for dinner..because…celebrating!)

8 years ago me might not have believed I’d still be here. That I’d be so happy. That I’d realize that cancer was one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.

Seeing God continue to be faithful, to give me exactly what I needed when I needed it, to love me so well through His presence and the people He’s put in my life….I’m thankful for all of it and so much more.

Here’s to snapping more pictures without checking and taking 5 more to post the best one.

To celebrating the big and little things in life.

To smiling, even if it causes wrinkles.

To feeling the sun on my face.

To timber what God has done and continues to do in my life.

And to be grateful for all of it.
