I’m back to Five Minute Fridays!
I haven’t written one in months, but felt the nudge to join back in. Even if just to get in the discipline of writing for a few minutes each week.
As I’m trying to figure out what direction to take my writing, I’ve realized that sometimes, like many things in life, the best thing to do is ‘keep on keeping on’. So if I want to write, even if I’m not sure how to proceed with it….
I should just write.
Hone my skills, my craft.
And God will use my writing. To develop something in me, to (hopefully!) encourage others, (most importantly) point others to Him……I don’t really know.
And maybe I’ll see the path He has planned for me as I walk it.
And maybe I won’t.
But one thing I’ve learned in my life…..
I’m a curious one, and it’s not often that people can surprise me. I’m just too nosey for that.
But the one who created Heaven and Earth? The one who paints the sky in the morning and evening?
He has lots of surprises….and His are the best kind.
There are many things about God that aren’t surprises…like His love, His faithfulness, and a million other things we read about His character in His Word.
His grace….no surprise.
His forgiveness….no surprise.
His love….no surprise.
But His will….sometimes there’s some surprises along the way.
And if anyone is going to surprise this curious, nosey woman?
I sure hope it is my God.
Because His surprises are perfect. They’re not surprises to Him.
Great post! God’s plan may not be ours but his surprises are certainly perfect. Visiting from FMF.
We were thinking along similar lines this week. Gods plan is perfect. But I so often forget that too. So glad to see you here. I’m over in the #43 spot this week.
LOVE THIS POST 🙂 I think we are related – ha ha! God’s surprises are the BEST!!
