As a former preschool teacher, I got more than my fill of kids books and music. Except I didn’t. I love that stuff! I guess it’s because I’m really a 13 year old girl at heart. I love pink, glitter, and anything that sparkles. Seriously..I need to realize I’m a grownup. 😉
One of my favorite kids CD’s (yes..CD’s because iTunes didn’t exist) when I was teaching and my boys were little was ‘Singin in the Bathtub’ by John Lithgow. Yes, the actor. He is also a children’s author and performer. And as hilarious for kids as he is on TV.
We probably wore out this CD, we I listened to it so much, hoping my boys would enjoy it as much as I did.
The song ‘A You’re Adorable’ is my favorite, by far. I know it’s a popular kids song and book, remade my many different people. But the fun-loving version by Lithgow is the best, in my opinion.
So good, that whenever I think of the letter A without any other context, this song is what I think about. When I read about this writing challenge, I immediately thought of this song. I think the only way I could’ve avoided using this as my A post is if I had a child with a name that started with the letter A!
My kids are adorable! And now that they’re bigger…they’re handsome, beautiful and gorgeous too!
I know I might be biased, but I do think that my boys are more adorable than most. But I think all of us mamas think that..and we should!!!
Because, after all, when you’ve grown a tiny human inside your body and then pushed this little person out into the world, where they travel around with your heart inside their body, how can you not find them adorable?
Adorable…that’s my post for A, and I’m sticking to it!
